Critical Mass Bakersfield is rolling strong. It's a ride for everyone, families, first-timers, commuters, and riders of all kinds, coming together to take up space and be seen. We move as one through the city, showing that bikes belong here too. It’s about community, visibility, and reminding people that every rider out there is a real person. If you’ve ever thought about coming out, this is your sign.

Volunteering your time to keep people safe isn’t small,it’s everything.

Critical Mass Bakersfield Update 🚲 This month we’re heading to the northeast side of Bakersfield for a 16-mile ride with about 500 feet of elevation, the most climbing we’ve done yet. Be ready for some uphill sections, and remember… what goes up must come down. Make sure your brakes are working properly and your bike is in good condition, because there will be some downhill riding on this route.

Critical Mass Bakersfield – Community Outreach This month we caught up with Chris from I’m.still.rolling. A true commuter in every sense. 20 miles a day. Six days a week. Rain or shine. Doing it all on a fixed-gear track bike. Riding through some of the fastest, most unforgiving streets in Bakersfield, holding his line, moving with traffic, and showing up day after day.

It warms my heart seeing so many people come out—friends, family, and the whole community—just to ride bikes together. This is what Critical Mass is all about.

It's a free, social, and beginner-friendly event that welcomes everyone, regardless of ability, race, gender, or other factors. Critical Mass Bakersfield – Marathon Crash Ride 🚴‍♂️ We’re keeping a Bakersfield tradition alive with a Marathon Crash Ride. We’ll be riding the Bakersfield Marathon route early in the morning before the race begins, while the streets are still closed. It’s a great chance to experience the full course with the community before the runners take over.

February 2026 Critical Mass Bakersfield. We finally cruised through downtown — rolling 23rd and 24th Street all the way down Martin Luther King Boulevard. Epic energy. Great people. As of Oak & Truxtun, we counted 115 riders in the group — and that doesn’t even include everyone who was still back at the park. Huge turnout, great energy, and an awesome mix of bikes, skaters, and first-timers. Our next ride is February 27, 2026. We always start and finish at Beach Park. Meet up at 6:30 PM and roll out at 7:00 PM.
