Coming this Friday, September 18th! We invite members of the Pittsburgh Cycling Community to join us, alongside Retired London Frie Brigrade firefighter @stephenaslin while he rides through Pittsburgh as part of Grenfell World Cycle. Stephen will be this ride to remember and bring attention to tragic 2017 Grenfell Tower disaster in London, and the role that the Pittsburgh based company Arconic played in allowing this disaster to occur.

Anywho, if you’ve been to @pgh_critical_mass in the last two months, you’ve probably seen me, with the approval of the organizers, taking over the Mass Mechanic role. I went back and forth on how I wanted to announce it to the social media world. Word of mouth seemed to work pretty well, but I couldn’t postpone another month.

Pittsburgh Critical Mass will once again be doing Critical Splash with the ride starting from Friendship July 10th meeting at 6pm and rolling at 630. The mid point will be at the Arsenal spray park, where they will be convenient pallets of water ballons waiting for us.

In addition to being an ICU nurse he was also a bikepacker, seen here with his Surly Ogre bike. When ICE killed him they killed one of us. ICE will never belong in Pittsburgh. We’ll roll at 6:30pm and our midpoint will be Schenley Park Overlook. We’ll return to Friendship at the end of the ride. 🚲 Swipe for the route. It’s just over 10 miles and has some gradual elevation to reach the overlook, but as always, we take it nice and slow here at Pgh Critical Mass.
